POLI-TAPE stands for innovative film solutions that bring ideas to life. Whether on textiles, in shop windows or on vehicles – our products turn creative concepts into shape and colour.

Since our foundation, we have been developing and manufacturing in Remagen, Germany, with the highest standards of quality. Today, locations in France, Italy and the USA form part of our corporate group. This enables us to combine the precision of Made in Germany with international expertise and close proximity to our customers.

Around 400 dedicated employees ensure that our films are used every day in more than 90 countries – reliable, durable and suitable for a wide range of applications in advertising, design and textile finishing.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Since its founding in 1993, POLI-TAPE has grown continuously and established itself as a reliable partner for film solutions in the areas of Textile Graphics, Large Format Printing Media and Tapes. Today, our products are used in more than 90 countries – with our brand particularly well established across Europe and the Americas.

Key milestones have shaped our journey: in 2011, we expanded our Remagen site with a state-of-the-art production and logistics facility. In 2022, we acquired the US company Specialty Materials to strengthen our presence in North and South America.

In 2023, we invested in a sustainable RTO system to meet the highest environmental standards.

Our innovative strength is reflected in products such as our specialised Pearl-Glitter heat transfer films or Color Up, a unique film offering exceptional creative possibilities.

As part of the Fedrigoni Group, we combine decades of expertise with international know-how and a strong global network – delivering solutions that unite quality, service and sustainability.

2025

Realignment in the USA

In 2025, POLI-TAPE realigned its business model in the USA and gained a strong partner for distribution: FDC Graphic Films, Inc.
FDC will represent the combined portfolio of POLI-TAPE and Specialty Materials in the USA and Canada.
ASLAN will continue to operate its distribution model independently, while benefiting from the logistical strength and infrastructure of GPA, a company of the Fedrigoni Group.

Part of the Fedrigoni Group

POLI-TAPE is part of the international Fedrigoni Group, a global leader in self-adhesive materials, premium packaging and graphic papers. This partnership opens up new opportunities to further develop our product portfolio, leverage global synergies and strengthen our presence in international markets.

2023

30 years of POLI-TAPE

To mark its company anniversary, POLI-TAPE invests in a state-of-the-art craft packaging machine – another step towards optimising processes and enhancing product presentation.

2022

Expansion of the US Market

With the acquisition of Specialty Materials (Tulsa, USA), a leading supplier of cutting and heat transfer films, POLI-TAPE strengthens its market position in North America.

2021

Strengthening Sustainability

The French company CFP SARL becomes part of the POLI-TAPE Group. As a manufacturer of high-quality, solvent-free PU transfer films, it expands our portfolio and works together with POLI-TAPE to drive the development of sustainable products.

2020

Remagen Headquarters Expands

With an additional space of more than 24.000 m² the company is well-prepared for future growth. POLI-TAPE has now a floor space of nearly 50.000 m² at the headquarter in Remagen.

2019

Increased Storage Capacity & Enhanced Brand Strength

A new logistics hall significantly increases storage capacity. At the same time, ASLAN Schwarz GmbH & Co. KG is acquired – a specialist in high-quality self-adhesive films that remains part of the group as an independent brand.

2017

Launch of Glitter Production

A dedicated production line for glitter films is launched, expanding the core Textile Graphics portfolio.

2016

Loss of the Company Founder

Company founder Walter Möhren passes away unexpectedly. His son, Sven Möhren, takes over the management and continues to lead the company in his spirit. In addition, a fully automated converting line for Textile Graphics is commissioned.

2014

New Administration Building & Training Centre

The Remagen site receives an additional administration building with a modern training centre for customer training and workshops. In addition, storage capacity is expanded.

2013

Launch of In-House Flock Film Production

With the acquisition of the flock division of CHT R. Beitlich GmbH, POLI-TAPE begins its own production of flock films.

2011

Major Expansion of Operations

A new 9,000 m² facility, two additional coating lines and a robot-assisted converting unit increase capacity and quality.

2009

Expansion in Italy

A new administration building and a second coating line are added in Remagen. The “Sign & Digital” division of KEMICA S.p.A. is acquired, leading to the founding of KEMICA S.r.l.

2006

Expansion in the Textile Segment

Founding of POLI-TAPE Italia S.r.l. for the production and finishing of heat transfer films.

2004

Automation

Commissioning of a fully automated converting and laminating line.

2001

Step into the Americas

An important step towards the company’s international orientation was taken in 2001 with the foundation of POLI-TAPE USA Inc. . in Jacksonville (Florida). (Today in Tulsa/Oklahoma)

Own Production

Launch of the first in-house coating line, along with the installation of a high-bay warehouse and laboratory.

Capacity Expansion

Investment in new and modern rewinding/slitting equipment.

Founding

On 17 June 1993, Walter Möhren founded POLI-TAPE Klebefolien GmbH in Remagen. The focus was on specialised adhesive films and the development of a strong and effective sales organisation.
